Rolling roundup
A very quick look around the web the day before the elections.
  • Bob Braun, a columnist for the Newark Star-Ledger, has a terrific profile today of Sam Millsap, the former elected District Attorney of Bexar County.
  • Craig A. Van Matre has this op-ed in the Columbia (Mo.) Daily Tribune, entitled "Hysteria, Politics and the Rule of Law," on the Military Commissions Act of 2006. [hattip ODPI]
  • Dr. Mark Heath's testimony on the Maryland death penalty protocol is the center of this article, by The Baltimore Sun.
  • In Maryland, the Senatorial debate took a sharp turn Friday when the Republican candidate for Senate, an ardent abolitionist, Michael Steele, noted sharply to his opponent "there is not just geographic disparity, Congressman, there is also racial disparity, which you have not addressed, and there is also economic disparity, which you failed to address." Abolitionists are expected to add at least two to their numbers in the coming days, Casey of Pennsylvania and Sanders of Vermont. Steele is a potential upset in Maryland and would make three.
