yeah, yeah, yeah
Some time ago I realized that a few days, or sometimes weeks, before trial, I obsess trial. Little things go by the waste side. I get vapor lock. The only thing I seem to be able to think about is the jury saying “guilty” on all counts. Those obsessions are over, I have verdict, and while I catch up, a few posts from around the net of note. Most notably, no major captial decisions.
While we were gone, however, this stuff seemed to be the best.
- America’s Best Prosecutor? [via Bennett's blog] & Why is the Senate wasting time with a capital counsel hearing? [via Doug B.] ]
- 8th Circuit appellate resources [via Iowa Champion]
- More From Mississippi [from Radley Balko on the Mississippi medical examiner scandal]
- Innocents on Death Row: Who’s counting?[via A public Defender]
- How to Pass the MPRE: WWJD ≠ WWLD [via Western Justice]
- For a Public Defender’s Office [via Bennett's blog]
- Kentucky’s public defenders face budget cuts [a public defender]
- Survey help wanted [via Harmless Error]
- New Lethal Injection Challenge in Alabama [via standdown]
And for those curious of verdict results, tradition here is never to reveal verdict results, less we tempt the trial gods and they get mad.

Karl,
You mis-linked “Innocents on death row: who’s counting?”
That sounds like the title of my post here
