I’ve litigated lethal injection challenges at the state trial level (of course the issue isn’t “ripe” yet says the trial courts) and i’ve often wondered: some people accept the execution of possible innocents as “collateral damages”…I often wonder if they feel that way because we have lethal injection.
Is the execution of an innocent more palatable to people because they “don’t suffer”. I wonder if it would be collateral damage if we were still executing people using the electric chair.
Do you know what I mean?

Has Lethal injection ever been declared inhumane in the United States? If medical persons are
unwilling to take part, that is where the fight begins. It cannot be that hard to make sure the
chemicals are mixed right. The absence of medical persons guarantees screw-ups.
